Donald M. Banman has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1989. He graduated from the University of Tulsa School of Law in 1988. He graduated from the University of North Texas in 1983 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. After graduating from law school, Don joined the former insurance defense Law Firm of Zeleskey, Cornelius, Hallmark, and Roper located in Lufkin, Texas.

Don’s experience also includes working as a State of Texas Assistant Attorney General in the Child Support Division.

Over the course of his legal career, Don has had cases, hearings, or mediations in numerous counties in Texas including: Anderson, Angelina, Aransas, Bee, Bowie, Calhoun, Cass, Cherokee, Collin, Colorado, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Fannin, Franklin, Goliad, Grayson, Hardin, Houston, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Lamar, Lavaca, Live Oak, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morris, Nacogdoches, Polk, Refugio, Sabine, San Augustine, San Patricio, Shelby, Smith, Tarrant, Titus, Trinity, Tyler, Victoria, Walker, Wise, and Young Counties.

In 2010, Don was appointed to the Main Street Advisory Board by the City of Denison, and was President in 2014 and 2015. He became chair of the Eisenhower Veterans Monument Committee. The bust of President Eisenhower is the work of artist, David Adickes and is located at Loy Lake Park in Denison of US 75. Don was awarded the “Moving Forward, Giving Back” Award from the City of Denison on Januarty 27, 2017.

In April of 2024, Don commissioned artist “ARCY” to paint a mural on his building located at 119 W. Main Street in Denison. The mural, named “The Yellowjacket Express” is a train with letters spelling Denison, Texas. Each letter depicts Denison , Texas historical events. See the picture below:
